I have over 30 years of industry experience, and specialise in managing the specification, sales and installation of automatic door systems nationwide.

Favourite project or client you’ve worked with and why

I value all clients and strive to provide excellent service. My favourite job recently was the refurbishment of a high security Parliamentary Office building in London (covered by an NDA), where we supplied nine pairs and two single Dorma ED100A swing door operators with BEA Flatscan safety sensors and Planet finger protection. These products were specially finished so that they were sympathetic to the overall aesthetic of the building and matched the satin brass ironmongery finish that was supplied by John Planck Ltd throughout.

Your favourite product/finish?

At the risk of sounding nerdish, the development of BEA’s Flatscan LZR range of safety sensors is ground-breaking. They employ laser technology to provide a significant increase in the coverage of the door opening (including the finger trap area) and are also a leap forward in terms of aesthetics when compared with conventional infra-red safety sensors.
