HAF @ John Planck Ltd was proud too supply and deliver the complete architectural ironmongery package for the prestigious refurbishment of London’s world-renowned Dorchester Hotel. The project demanded the highest level of craftsmanship and technical precision to complement one of the capital’s most distinguished interiors.

Project Overview

The Dorchester is a landmark of timeless elegance and one of the most celebrated hotels in the world. Its recent transformation reimagined guestrooms across eight floors, along with some of its most recognisable front-of-house areas including the Reception, The Promenade Lounge, China Tang Restaurant and Vesper Bar.

The brief called for hardware that would quietly underpin the grandeur of the interiors while maintaining the heritage character that defines The Dorchester’s global reputation. Every fitting needed to reflect craftsmanship, luxury and absolute attention to detail. The Dorchester stands as one of the world’s most celebrated hotels, a landmark of timeless elegance on Park Lane. Our Involvement

Our HAF team led the delivery of bespoke architectural ironmongery throughout the refurbishment. Working closely with the wider project team, HAF developed and supplied door hardware that married authentic Art Deco styling with modern performance.

Levers and centre door knobs were semi-bespoke, adapted from classic patterns with enhanced detailing to suit the refined interior palette. Finishes throughout the refurbishment were in unlacquered polished and antique brass’ and polished chrome to bathroom areas, complementing the layered materials and lighting schemes that define the hotel’s renewed aesthetic.

Each hardware set was engineered to deliver reliable, long-term performance in a five-star environment, utilising concealed products discreetly in some areas, ensuring safety and comfort without compromising design.
